Hobogato if you pick up the GC from Sherri LMK Maybe you can pick up mine too. My work schedual is horrible this week. I also have another GC from them so If I get a FF GC for the membership thing count me in for two GC worth $50 ;)

Another thing is they wont be shipping out till the Jan 4 so we still have acouple of days to get this together.

i just talked with eric at frag farmer and he said the group order with several gift certificates would be fine. he said we need to get him the numbers on the gift certificates asap so he can check his records, etc, so if you already have a GC and are in, PM me the number, and if not, PM me the number as soon as you get your certificate. he said he will be around every day until the end of the year, so there isn't as much of a rush as we thought before. Still, i would like to get this together ASAP, so those colonies we are voting on don't disappear before we get them.

ok, maybe i didn't make this clear. i was thinking we would vote on and buy two or three colonies to frag out and share. if you want something else in the group order, then send me a link for what you want. if you vote on a colony, then you are agreeing to share the cost for the colonies and will get frags. we will divide shipping and handling charges evenly among all participants.

fishypets has dropped out because his gc is not for frag farmer, so i deleted his votes and updated the list. i would like to get this ordered tomorrow, so all participators need to vote and let me know what you want by 6pm tomorrow. once i make the order, i will post the price breakdown and my paypal address so you can pay me back for your part. remember, if we get two colonies, you will probably have to pay around $20 to $30 on top of your $25 gift certificate. (just estimating there)

they are probably gonna ship them on January 2. i will leave it up to you when you come pick up your frags, i have heard it is good to acclimate for about 5 days before fragging, then frag and put them back for a few more days. i was thinking of waiting until Sunday, Jan 8th to frag them, then, when you pick them up will be your choice.

Its good to have them attached to a rock after fraged for at least a week in the orginal tank.

As far as picking them up, brian, you can come by to get yours on the day they get here since you are taking a whole colony. everyone else, i would like to give them a few days to acclimate before fragging them. they are supposed to be shipped on January 2nd (ill keep you posted), so i would like to wait until Sunday, January 8th to frag them out. you can come by anytime after that to get them, but if it were me, i would wait until the following Thursday at least. if you want me to glue it to a rock and put it back in my tank for a while, let me know.

LOL.. Yeah I already moved a couple of zoanthid rocks in there tank along with the galaxia too make more room for sps :skeezy . Its amazing how much the tanks change just from looking at he pics from totm 2 months ago.

they are in and acclimating in my tank. i was very worried, when i picked up the shipment and FedEx had enclosed the box in a big plastic bag. on closer inspection, the entire box was wet - not a good sign. when i opened the box, all of the bags had leaked, but there was still enough water in each bag to keep the corals submerged - whew!

i put them in my tank around 10 am, and when i went to check them at lunch, the plana was already showing polyp extension and the terminus (i think) was really close - could see the bright green polyps, but they weren't extending yet.

this one (A. plana) has its polyps somewhat extended already. the pic got the main color correct (mint green) but doesn't show the purplish pink tips or the burgandy polyps very well

the way they are looking now, i will probably break them up on sunday afternoon. if anyone would like to come give me some input, you are welcome to come by, just pm me and ill send my address and phone #. if you want to come get your frag then, that would be fine too. if it were me, i would leave em until at least wednesday to get over the shock. if you want me to glue them to a piece of rubble, let me know. i will do my best to get 5 equal frags out of each colony.

i did my best to frag them evenly, they the frags are all starting to polyp out already.

here are some before and after pics. LMK when you want to come by to get them - there is no rush if you want to leave them here a while.

BTW, these are under water, i fragged them under water and did my best to minimize out of water time.
i was able to use hemostats and large dikes to frag them, so the cuts are pretty clean.

BTW, the plana frags are about 1.5" long, but lots of branches and the termida frags are about 3-4" long.

Thanks for setting all this up Ace!! Picked up my large frags tonight and after acclimation, they are doing amazing! Both are showing polyps already. Hopefully once I clean my tank up a bit, I'll get some photos taken :lol
