looks really cool, but I'll like to see what is made of, It looks alot like "stuff" the insulation it's sold in HD...hmmm I wonder...

coming from foster&smith I hope is not toxic, It will make really realistic looking tank scaping......so many ideas...lets see what come out of this

I have to admit, i am fairly excited.. I orderd 5 cans of the stuff and will be using one of them to experiment w/ on a piece of wood first.

from what I have read, it's tacky to the touch, and cured solid in 24 hours. it's porus, so i twill become 'alive'
there is a bit of sculpting involved as well, so we will see how the test board works out. I am expecting delivery monday or tuesday of next week.

Jose, this stuff is designed for fish, it is a poly urethane foam usually used in ponds to create waterfalls and rocky looking walls. it has been used on tanks on reefcentral multiple times, the oldest one I have read about is 2 years running w/ no adverse reactions.

How disappointing, I thought this was going to be an interesting thread ;)

I have used "Great Stuff", and if it's anything like it, I wouldn't trust it in my tank. That "stuff" out gasses for months!

Ok ... so black and "for aquariums" ... just another money making marketing tool. :innocent ;)

I don't think this is like the greatstuff, like I said, specifically designed for the aquarium/pond industry.

It can be cleaned btw, when it's wet there is a solvent you can buy, and when it's dry it's called a razor blade!

And trust me, with two reeflo darts on a 120 cube for circulation and closed loop, not going to be much settling, my oceans motions revolutions will be hitting the back wall on 3 of their indexes, so it will consistently get a nice blast of water.

besides, I want to cover it with polyps anyhow. :)

Its basically the same thing. Im using the great stuff in my tank now. The only difference i think is the color and it will last a few years longer than great stuff. MH lights will cause this stuff to break down after a few years.
