It depends by what you are asking Mike. Are you asking about keeping sps? It is definately doable, but you gotta have the money, knowledge, patience and 100% dedication. That is an awesome tank and what makes it stand out is the aquascaping IMO. Amongst the tanks I have i also have a 55 gallon and aquascaping like that would be almost impossible. A 55g is just not wide emough to play around with the rockwork.

I beg to differ. A 55 gallon is a good size to do lots of different rockwork.

well im more interested in how the rocks are set up, the corals are nice but im just going to stick with soft corals until im 100% sure that i can do this without MAAST

You could do it in a nano with rubble ... why not?

I also said it was ALMOST impossible, not completely impossible. LOL Well maybe for me it would be kind of impossible, and the reason for that is because I dont like to stack my rocks on the back wall. I like to give myself some space in the back to syphon out accumulated detritus. That tank has a nice low profile look to it and a 55 gallon just doesnt have those dimensions. Like Pete mentioned, it could be done with smaller rocks but that would mean you have smaller caves for the fish.

I like how the back of the tank is tinted so you dont see in the fish room! Very nice
