Looking for a new bulb and need advice...

Ok, so my 400watt halide bulb SE is beginning to change, so i figure i need to replace it soon. :( Right now I have a 400 watt coralvue 20k. My growth isn't very good though. I thought about a 10k bulb, but I don't care for the yellow look. Also on my tank I don't have room for any actinics. So does anyone know of a good 14k (around there) 400 watt halide that can replace it and still get good growth and color? Also what are some good online retailers to order one from? tia

If you'd be willing to pay alot the 13K megachrome is pretty blue.

i have 15k XM in the 250 watt bulb and i am seeing good growth and color.

A 20K wont show growth..at all..(maybe 1/2 an in. ever 100 yrs :P)..What i suggest is adding a VHO retro to your 400 watt MH..and instead of a 20K, use a 10K..

I would except I have a corner tank and there is no way for me to fit any vho's in there. The little room I have is just around 10 inches and thats not really enough room to fit any substantial amount of VHO lighting in. Which is why I'm looking for a good 14 k bulb.

..Ah ok..didnt know how big the tank was.. I guess a 14K or those new 15K would do good..
