Sucking sound

Hello. My name is Mary Alice Moon. My husband is still in Iraq. His tank just started making some loud sucking sounds. I really have no clue about his tank. I live on the Medina Annex. If anyone who has access to the base can stop by sometime today or tomorrow please call me at 210-833-6724

Any time I have heard a loud sucking sound from the aquarium is when the sump is out of water and the return pump is taking in air.

The sump has water. I just noticed the clown fish swimming in the sump who needs to be rescued. There are still the slurping sounds though. I think that there is air in the tubing, I just don't what to do from here.

Is the water level high enough?

The returns are well under the water level, the water level in the sump is well over the return pump?

Does it sound like it is coming from the drain?
