Missing Wrasse

I bought a X-mas wrasse recently. As soon as I put it in the tank, it took a dive into the sandbed. I have not seen it since. Any ideas?

Yeah, im sure it will come out..Ive known of wrasses coming out after weeks of been buried..give it sometime.

On a sadder side of it, you can also check behind the tank and make sure it didn't go carpet surfing unless you have a completely closed hood/canopy. Hopefully not the case but some wrasses tend to jump.
