Looks like a bunch of snails swarming over something, can't wait until I have my new tank with metal halides.

It looks like a close up of romanesque broccoli which does grow in a fractal pattern. Maybe we could call it fractal cauliflour?

i think it should be called A. tesselata - looks like some weird Escher tesselation drawing.
