OK, last friday night mamma bought a frag of green finger leather (I guess that's what it is) at Fin-Addict. It keeps coming un-glued. I'm using a good $.30 worth of gel. It sticks to the rock fine, but comes off of the frag. The frag is very soft. Any ideas?

Rubberband the frag to a piece of rubble and stick the piece of rubble on a rock..

I have rubberbanded soft corals and then the split and I get two loose soft corals....the problem is that since they expand and contract they will tear if pinned down too tightly. what I finally did was use that netting they use for bridal veils and stuff, cut a strip one inch wide and however long, wrap it softly around the coral and the rock you wish to attach it to, and use a toothpick to "pin" the veil together in the back. This keeps the coral touching the rock in one place all the time, while also permitting it to enlarge and contract without tearing.

Dont do it too tight..just to the point where the frag wont move. Thats the point of the rubberband, so the coral wont move out of place, and with time, it will attatch to the rubble piece.

I always stuck a tooth pick through mine and then rubber banded the tooth pick to the rock until it took hold.

OK, I put some loose netting over it, and then rubberbanded the netting underneath the rock. Should give him some room to attach.

Depending on how big the leather frag is.... I have put the toothpick through the frag then used a the toothpick as an anchor point for the rubberband. Then once the frag attaches pull the toothpick out (if you can) or just break/cut it as close to the frag as you can.
