I got some good news and some bad news form my brother. The good news is that he works in a sign shop and can cut the pieces I need for an aquarium/sump for almost free (or free if he has enough good sized scrap laying around the shop) all he needs are the plans/dimensions so he knows how many of what to cut for me.

The bad news is that he put in his 2 weeks notice today so I need to get this to him ASAP.

The space I have available for the aquarium can be as big as 48Lx18Wx24H and the sump/fuge can be 48Lx16Wx14H give or take a few inches on either. I plan on putting it in a wall. Are there more 'standard' dimensions I should use? How thick does the acrylic have to be for this size?

I thought about sending him a drawing like the one in this thread ( http://www.maast.org/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=15634) but with different dimensions (thanks dwdenny!)

Does anyone have or know of a website that might have drawings like this that I could send to him?

go to Melevsreef.com

He has a bunch of different designs. The size you have is good. For the sump 3/8" is what I would recommend. For the aquarium, 1/2".

Thanks, I'll check those out. I had melevsreef.com bookmarked on my other computer before it crashed. Thanks for reminding me!

Would 3/16" be too thin for the sump? Even with additional bracing?
