How can you tell if an Anthia is eating and not just breathing?

I think mine is eating live stuff from the refugium...but if it isn't then I need to work on food for it.

thanks

Try some food that you can see like baby brine or cyclopseze. Watch closely and you will see its jaws kind of snap and the little food piece will disappear. If some smaller foods or brine don't dissappear, then try some mosquito larva. If you don't see a slight jaw movement and the food go down the hatch instead of just passing by, its not eating. If its doing well it will go after the food as its blowing around in the water column. It is a rather high current, large tank fish and the feeding movement is a little more than simply breathing, no matter what size the food is.
