48" compact lights brand new for 30.00

i got a guy who can get me 48" compact lights for 30.00 brand new. is this a good deal. later on i will upgrade but for now these should be ok right? i mean its only 30.00!

what kind of light is it? what is the wattage? there are many questions you need to ask before anyone can say it is a good idea or not//////////////

You may want to compare some of the online stores with the fixture that you have (or are planning on buying) to get a good comparison.

Is it a retro fit? Is it just the bulb? Reflector included? Ballast included? Whats the wattage? Whats the color spectrum?
