How do you take those, do you just hit the button really quick or do you take whole lot of shots really fast?

Easy. Get yourself lots of beer at least a 12 pack maybe a case and camp outside. If you do not get any shots at least you will get a buzz. :P

Really, it is pretty easy. I just use longer exposure 10-30 secondsl, bigger f-stop say anywhere from about f5-f8. And fire away. Kind of like fishing, miss a whole bunch but, every so often you will get a keeper.

These shots were all taken with my old Olympus 2100uz. I have yet to get any with my new camera. We have not had an evening storm since, like April or so. I have been waiting for a good storm since June (when I got my new camera).

Last night I was outside for about 2 1/2 hours waiting. Storm just faded away. I got bored I took this shot of the rain.

I have finally figured out why I like shopping at CB Pets. When are you going to get your Liquor License? Hopefully before this weekend. Free beer with a ten dollar purchase. Oh yea, nice pictures!

Best thing I've found is to set up your camera on a tripod, use the "bulb feature" to leave the aperture open for (up to however long you want on our camera, but up to 30 seconds on some) and point the camera towards the area where the lighting is hitting at the time with the most frequency. Works great!

BTW Mark - beautiful pics!!!

Thanks.

You forgot the beer part - Very important.

Lightning loves beer and is attracted to the scent. But, do not use the cheap stuff as it can sense these things. Crown also works really well! :D
