Too much G.A.C.??

How much is too much activated carbon?Ive read mixed reviews, and methods on this subject just curious if im using too much.I run a kent reactor filled 3/4 hydro carbon and 1/4 phosban.50 gallons total water vol.(approx.)

The only thing I have read about large volumes of activated carbon is the rate at which you add it. It can absorb oxygen from the water and if you add it too fast it will suffocate your tank.

so i guess its cool to run carbon 24/7.it hasnt had an ill effect so far.that i can tell that is.
