I say thank god for the cool front, cause our a/c unit for the house just quit. It stopped yesterday. I woke up to a tank temp of about 88. yikes. luckily nothing died. thank temp is back down to 78, thanks to the cool weather that has arrived.
On another note, any a/c comp you would recommend. Beyer came by today, but still looking for others to compare.

we got an amana from Agee. my wife is the ultimate comparison shopper, so you should understand it was a really good deal compared to alot of others she found. the best part about it is the 10 year parts and LABOR warrantee.

Thanks for the info, just waiting for quotes. The Lennox system that was on the house was 20yrs old. How long are these things supposed to last.

I'm sure it will. It usually takes a few fronts to blow through to keep the temperature cool.

I like to keep both my chiller and heater busy. I set my heater at 84 and my chiller at 80 and let them fight it out!
