I have a 46 gallon bowfront and I need a protein skimmer. Which kind should I get? And I need a good one at a cheap price. I was goin to get a seaclone 100 for like $80, but I wanted to know if i could get a better one for cheaper.

Maybe the best bet here would be a used prizm. They kind of suck, but they're probably as good as any other cheapo skimmer and you can probably find one cheap.
Sorry, don't mean to be disparaging, but $80 for a skimmer is nothing. I would spend more than double that just for materials on my smallest skimmer.

I would go with a used CPR Bak Pak skimmer for that price. A used CPR is much better than a new seaclone in my opinion.

I would go with the Coralife Super Skimmer - Needle Wheel. I have one on my 110 and it is a really good skimmer. Really dark stinky skimmate. It works like an EuroReef or ASM skimmer.

Do a search at Nano-Reef.com. There was a great thread last year about a DIY skimmer that went through several revisions and seemed to work really well at minimal cost and effort. You might be able to scale it up enough for a 46.
