I am looking to make my next purchase for my tank a nice light system. I have a 125 gal. salt and need some light, I am starting off from scratch. Richard at CB pets has a nice tank with 4 400watt halides. I want a similar setup only all built into a custom canopy. Besides the four 400watt halides I also want some nice power compacts with actinics (or are VHO's better) and a moonlight LED setup. My tank is 6' long. Where should I start so I can start saving $. I'm guessing about $1,500-$2,000. One of my guys at work used to be a machinist and could make a metal canopy but I don't know what kind of metal or where to get it. Would making a system by piecing together ballasts and sockets and wiring them all up myself be cheaper or trying to get a custom one plug and play from a vendor? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks for the ideas but I think I'd have to call to get 4 400watt halides with the compacts/vho's and moonlights all in one.
