This came in an established tank I bought last year. Was told it was a frogspawn, but after comparing it vs. the pictures in Borneman's book I suspect maybe it's a grape or something else. Anyone able to positively ID?
Thanks,
Chris

Hmm...I'd be very surprised if this turned out to be a hammer. I have a branching hammer and the tentacles are VERY different. The tips on this one are almost round instead of having that hammer/anchor shape.

Its either hammer or frog. Im leaning towards frog b/c Ive got one that looks exactly like that and it is a frog...the tentacles are just not that long yet. Give it some time..

Anchor, hammer and frogspawn are all very similar but from looking at the picture it appears you have a hammer. Notice the tips. They are elongated like an anvil. This would make it a hammer and not a frog spawn.

LOL. I think you and Diego may be right. I didnt really notice the tips before. Hammer or frogspawn they have the same husbandry requirements. Id let it grow and keep us informed when it gets bigger!
