Frag re-monting help

I have a couple of leather frags that I got form MAAST'ers. They started out as a single finger on a small piece of rock. Now, they are big with many finger on a small piece of rock, and are, of course very unstable.

I would like to remount these onto a larger rock, so they have a stable base to grow larger. But I have a fair amount of flow in my tank, and I don't know any good way to mount them. I can't just stick them in a crevice.

Any suggestions?

I've never dealt with leathers, but I've heard you can stick a toothpick through them near the base of the frag and rubber-band it to the rock. After it bonds itself to the rock you should be able to take the the toothpick out...

Oh, wait. I had heard this before, but it never made sense to me. The way you describe it actually clears it up. I had always thought that you stuck the toothpick longitudinally (through the stalk), which made me wonder how you could ever get it out. This makes much more sense. :)

I used the rubberband method, and it worked fine for me. The tissue that the rubberband was applying pressure against died, but the rest of the base stuck to the rock. After about 2 weeks (probably longer than nescessary) I just clipped the rubberband off and it's held every since.

Since you can remove a leather from the water, you can also try super glueing it to a rock. I'd used that on several mushrooms and stony corals.
