Any interest in ordering some Tropical Play sand (aragonite?) I need quite a bit, and if others are interested I could get a full pallet and get it to you guys.

Yeah I have been debating BB or SSB so I might be interested if the price is right. LOL

well they would be 40lb bags so I'd have to calculate that. I'm located in Corpus Christi, but could possibly deliver based on price and where work has me going. I go to SA or Houston once a month maybe. I could load the trunk of the car down with some ;)

I haven't gotten a price yet, just seeing if anyone else would be interested. I need 12 bags myself. I need to find out how much a pallet costs and then divide that cost up by how many bags there are. It would be substantially cheaper then buying it at the LFS. There doesn't seem to be a huge interest and 16lbs is not nearly enough to place an order.

I would be interested in about 25 bags. I live in Beeville and could pick up my order. I think you might have to meet the truck in the Dallas area and haul the pallet of sand back down. Hammer in the Austin area has done this before.

I could use about 5 bags. Let us know how much it will cost. I will be in Vicoria in November so I could swing by Corpus and pick it up. As well as anyone elses from the Valley if they get any.

Well I found something that is being tested right now. High Calcium Limestone. It came from the same mines as southdown and I can get it locally. I will pick up a bag tonight and fill you guys in tomarrow with some pictures possibly if I can get the camera charged.

looks like same stuff as aragonite at the LFS. It's got some finer particles which we are going to try and strain out with pantyhose. Should have some next week and give a report on it.

Is this product your checking into dolomitic? I'm not exactly sure what that term means, but I was thinking aragonite might be better for our needs than Dolomite. Gary??

Yes it is dolomitic....have been researching some stuff and so far chemical analysis shows it's almost identical as far as chemically and what it's doing for water scrubbing.
