Use latex rubber gloves when handling and then through the gloves away afterward.

OK, this REALLY works. Even Consumer Reports tested this and found amazingly it works (a company sells a small bar of stainless steel for odor removal). If you have a stainless steel sink, run cold water over your hands while rubbing it on the sink. If you don't have a stainless sink, anything else that is stainless will work. I thought this was total BS until I tried it - garlic and onion odor gone immediately.

Go-Jo hand cleaner works well for me. Dan, if you get ahold of Travis, he has/had some sort of cherry brand hand cleaner that worked better than Go-Jo. (super concentrated stuff :) )

guys I do alot of work on my car and in the garage in general. I have yet to find any thing...including go-go, cherry bomb (the stuff reffered to earlier), or any other cleaner that works better then ...drum roll...... LIQUID TIDE. THat's right the stuff you wash your clothes with. I didn't believe it, but a buddy of mine who owns a shop has been doing it for years. I keep small cup of it in my bathroom sink and when I really need to get some smell or grease off, a small portion of it with a fingernail brush will get ANYTHING i have found off my hands.

SAtx I wouldn't have believed it I wasn't there. I worked in his shop www.bartuning.com over a summer as I was teaching and had my summers off. I built my car while I was there. Now after many long nights scrubbing I can't find anything as good as plain old liquid Tide
