Shrimp ?

I bought some feeder shrimp yesterday and some of them looked a little different that they usually do. Some had dark stripes...tiger looking. Well I was cleaning my tank along the edge to even out the mounds that form when one of these shrimp comes out of the sand. He then quickly starts burying himself in the sand again. Is this shirmp ok to keep in the tank, have any of you ever head of this behavior from a particular shrimp?

That is probably a shrimp from the coast. They burrow in the sand during the day and come out at night! They are pretty much harmless, but the bigger ones will eat ghost shrimp.

Cool thanks!!! I was scared there for a sec....seeing this crazy looking shrimp burrowing in the sand and eventually trying to take out my valuable corals!!! :lol
