Geez I'm am so FREAKIN ticked off at SEIO's POS suction mounting right now!!!! I just got home and find the tank in a CLOWDY haze after yet another SEIO pump fell off the glass and created a sandstorm in my tank. This is the third time in less than 2 weeks that these POS pumps have fallen off into the sand bed and sprayed CR@P everywhere. This is the last freakin straw for me with these **** things!!! I can' afford losing anything due to these poorly desinged pumps on their CR@PPY mounts..... I just hope the sand storm will clear up by morning so I can do a inventory check.... Although I have no visibility in the tank now, I can already tell ALL of my stuff is buried under at least 2" of sand.... AHHH :angry :angry :angry :angry :angry :angry :angry :angry :angry :angry :angry :angry :angry

yeah...I am just waiting on mine to do the same thing...actually all suction cups will fail over time...something just happens to them. It happens on my maxi jets too. I am sure Gary P. can explain what happens to them, I think that they dry out and stop holding.. Anyway when my suctions on my seios start failing I will modify them like this guy did it on RC. He basically used a form of weldon and made a magnet attachment out of a magfloat...worked well for him

Everything on my sand bed is completly buried. :angry I'm trying to find everything that was on the sand floor and pulling it out so it does not die on me over night. Last time it happened it took several hours to clear up enough to see the tank.

I just ordered what I should have gotten when I set up the tank over a month ago.... Tunze Turbelle stream kit 6000 plus single controller, magnet mount, photo cell...it may sound drastic but I'm happy with what I did. At least I KNOW the Tunze will not fall from the tank wall.... Plus I have been soooo pleased with the osmolator from Tunze, great products from those Germans....

I'd make some new mount for them or something. I've used all kinds of powerheads and they all have the same problem, the suction cup mounts don't work very well. I ended up making some mounts for my Maxijets out of acrylic that hang from the top lip of the tank.

I have to agree with you on this one lonestar. Although I feel they are good powerheads the suction cups do suck. It always happened to me too, luckily I had a barebottom tank. Good luck with your tank and keep us updated, we will try our best to help.
