I bought this switch panel off of ebay a few months ago for my new tank. Last week I finally installed it and started hooking things up. I connected a pump and flipped the switch to test it and nothing happend. I moved the plug to another outlet and still nothing. I plugged the pump directly into the wall and it worked fine. So I tested all 8 of the outlets and only 3 of them worked. Curiosity got the best of me so I opened this sucker up. Much to my suprise, this brand new switch panel had 5 wires that were not soldered correctly and had come loose. And on top of that, it was the hot wire on all 5 of them. I resoldered them in correctly and checked every connection inside of this thing. All is good now, but that could have been very bad if I had not caught it this quickly. A cold solder joint can fry equipment and a house if gets hot enough. If you own one of these, I would highly suggest that you take it apart and check every connection in it. Here's the proof.

Yeah nowaday's you gotta second guess stuff like that. If you know what your doing its almost better to make your own setup. ;)
