While Chris was busy doing his thing this AM I was forced to actually do some serious reef reading. I got onto Ron Shimek's site and found a couple of links I thought I would share with you. These are related to topics that have been active in the forums recently. Actually, they are topics that seem to come up on a fairly regular basis here.
First is a excerpt from Ron Shimek's book on Sand Beds. I think it is a very good look at the role they play in our systems and how to set one up properly.

The next is a a discussion of feeding of our critters. It takes a look at how and what corals and reef fish eat in the wild. It also compares that to how we typically feed in our systems and the impact it can have on our water quality.

Feel free to comment on what you learn from these links as well as any questions that arise from them.
