Hello all,

Unfortunately I didn't see any MAASTards when I did my Local Fish Store tour in Austin this Saturday, but I did see some cool stuff. Here is my impression of the Austin LFS. Please keep in mind I am using only one quick visit to base my opinion on :)

First stop was Horizon Pets:
I met Steve and he was a very cool and talkative guy. He seemed pretty knowledgable and he mentioned they are planning on expanding their SW selection once they sell off some old cat/dog stuff. I was happy to see what I think are red banded trochus snails, one of the absolute best grazers for reef tanks. Here are a few pics. If I was an Austin resident I would be willing to spend some of my money here.

Here are a few more pics. Overall I would say the coral selection was fairly slim, but he did have some nice healthy looking fish and ricordia and a couple of nice clams. Oh, looks like I've hit my upload limit, so I won't be adding any more pics...darn.
