I've sold my large purple tang because of space... I hate to see him go but it was the right thing to do I think. I'm going to remove the yellow as well to make room for several completely docile fish. I know the hippos will step up to take control of the tank but they get along very well together so I'm hoping it will be a friendly tank will little to no territorial disputes.

I'm thinking about docile, easy going fish that will stay fairly small. I really like fish that move in and out of the rocks (like a 6 line wrasse). Any suggestions would be very welcome.

current fish:
yellow tang (going to be removed)
2 Hippos
2 true percs
1 Ebili Angel
1 Flame Angel
1 yellow corris wrasse
1 6 line wrasse
1 purple fire fish
1 eyelash blenny
1 diamond goby
Future plans:
I plan on making a move to SPS so I've added a Tunze and I plan to mod a MJ1200 with the stream mod from RC. I'll be selling/trading off most of my softies, leathers, etc...

schooling fish?
docile (no damsels, tangs...)
small to medium in size
No hidden fish (gobies, fire fish...)

Only thing I can think of would conflict with your current livestock (ie. a pygmy angel, trigger). You already have a high-quantity of fish in your tank.... you might be able to go with a small school of blue/green chromis.

Something with personality? A mandarin maybe?

Does your purple firefish hide? Maybe it's because you only have one...we've got three in our tank, and they all hang out together - they are constantly in view.

If you are looking for smaller docile fish that can be kept in aggregations, you could try some Assessors (blue = Assessor macneilli OR yellow = Assessor flavissimus)...they are really pretty, and totally reef safe.

Just about any of the hawkfish...they are neat fish to watch, I have a longnose and a flame with only the flame that eats a snail or two once in a while.

I didnt have any luck with my previous maderin and now that the mysis shrimp have taken control of my fuge I doubt I could keep one.
Anthias are nice, they are definately on my list!!!
Would a fairy wrasse get along with my 6line and corris?
I like the basslets are they something that should be kept in pairs?
I never see my firefish... It was about 3 months before I realized I didnt loose her during the move :) But without the purple and yellow I may see her more... I love them and so does my wife so I might get a couple more just to see what happens.

I really like the Fridmani Pseudochromis but I doubt I would see it much. Does anyone have any experience with this dottyback?

Thanks for the advice... keep those suggestions rollin in!!!

Your 6line will most likely kill a fairy wrasse. They are fairly aggressive towards other wrasses, and fairys are super peaceful and dont really defend themselves.

I have an Orchid Dottyback (fridmani Pseudo) that is beautiful...bothers no one and no one bothers him. In fact, he is so fuschia, I have a hard time getting a focused pic of him cause it looks like he's glowing. He is always out. Orchid has a black stripe across his eyes - different from a Purple Dottyback...they're mean. My Orchid is in with a 6 Line, Regal Tang, Yellow Tang, Naso tang, Mandarin, 2 Purple Firefish, Flamehawk, 4 clowns, etc. I have a great community tank. No probs with anyone. I'll try & get a pic if I can.

My firefish don't hide either...they school right in front of tank. I'd get another firefish - they school and are more active.

Bad idea to put fairy wrasse in with a 6 Line wrasse.
