Sugar Sand ok for FOWLR tanks ?

Is sugar sand ok for saltwater aquariums? I am attaching this link. I think that it would be cheaper to purchase this sand versus buying the sand a a fish store?

Well my curiosity go to me. It's $1.50 for a 50lb bag but she believes it's silica based. I'm more curious about the color of the sand and just how white it actually is because the picture looks very white.
