I know this is an easy question but I can't seem to remember the answer and am too lazy to look it up right now. What would be a good watt per gallon ratio for a zoo tank?

The theroy is 5 per gallon, but then at what depth and what clarity ... ect? It all depends as a tank 8" deep surely doesnt need what a 30" deep tank would.

It just depends on what you would like to keep, If it's just zoos, 5-8 WPG would be ideal, but they can take more. I used to have alot of zoos under 15 watts per gallon and they loved it!
