I recently read an article about a privately funded new HUGE public aquarium in Atlanta, built by the founder of home depot. Supposedly it will be the world's largest aquarium, with a pair of whale sharks in the main tank. Anybody heard anything about this? It's called the "Georgia Aquarium".

Wow sounds like a very cool place! Thanks for posting that link dude as I have submitted my resume for the senior pump technician position. Im sure I have a snowballs chance in hell of landing such a position but hey I have been a pump mechanic for the last 8yrs so do have experience and you never know. Either way would be a cool place to visit someday!

I talked to a guy that was the aquarist at the zoo in SA that was going to work there. This was all about a year ago. He was from Atlanta and was trying to get back home.

I'll be he'll have not problem getting them to deliver southdown to them. :lol

Looks like a really cool place to visit if ever in the area though.

It's not actually open yet. I think their grand opening is later this fall and then the Coca cola museum will be moving in next to the Aquarium. I was able to walk around the complex when I was in Atlanta for a meeting a couple of weeks ago.
