What kind of paint should I use to paint the back of a tank?

I used a high grade latex enamel and brushed on about 3-4 coats. If you can get to it, and cover other parts, a good enamel spray paint would be much nicer & easier I would think.

Not to hijack or anything but... Can you ever remove that kind of paint from a tank? This might be good to know down the line.

Yes you can. I used a razor blade and soapy water. had to remove paint from sides of 180. I'm sure there are other ways, but this worked for me.

A latex will pretty much peel right off with a little razor blade.
