I don't mean to spam, but I know some of yall will be in Corpus this weekend. I just got back from Tropical Fish Haven and I bought a gold with purple tips acropora at what I thought is a reasonable price. The owner said he brought a bunch of stuff in these past two weekends. I saw that he has 4 different species of acroporas anywhere from fragments to decent size show pieces. They got in a gorgous encrusting hammer coral that would be a good show piece. I just wanted to give yall a heads up if anyone is looking for corals. There is a good variety there right now.

I can't wait until my lights get in to see how my acros react to them.

Thanks a bunck for the heads up David. How are the peppermints down there? Easy to catch?
Lets see if we can get a moderator to move this into the Vendor & Product Experiences forum.

The last few days have been really calm seas and clear clear clear water. If someone has a surlp gun, they would be able to collect some tropicals for thier personal aquarium.

The tides are really low. This may make collecting peppermints a bit difficult, but not impossible. There will be few tidal pools deep enough to scoop up the shrimp.

I plan to spend Sunday down south fishing for sharks, but I may go down to the Port Mansfield jetties if the seaweed is too bad and snorlke around for tropicals. I really don't need any fish right now, but I may go for the heck of it just to see them in their natural enviroment. I wish I had my housing for my camera to take under water pictures.

Anyhow, have fun while you all are down here.
