Timer for lights

I am looking for timers to control MH lights, fans, and moonlights. I have looked around and everyone say something about each of them. Are coralife any good? What brand should I buy and from where? Any and all suggestions would help.

I may get laughed at but.... I just use the digital one's from WalMart. Have only had a problem once. But I only run 2 175W MH bulbs. I think you may be pulling more power so don't know if they work for you.

I use the digital ones from WalMart and run two 250w halides off of one, I cant remember exactly but I believe they are rated to carry 1150 watts

I use the digital ones from Home Depot. They come with two watch style batteries that keeps the programming intact in the event of a power outage. I have around 8 of them and have never had one fail. Just make sure you put the batteries in the correct way. They even have a small button to switch between Daylight Savings Time.

I've been using the one from Wal-Mart too. Just make sure your timer can handle the electrical load. The rating is listed on the packaging and timer itself. I bought the coralife power strip with the wave option but I never put it to use.

i use the standard home depot timers. the ones that have the pins. i'm running 3-400w, 2-6'VHO'S,kalk reactor,calcium reactor,ph controlers,fuge lights and other stuff all on those timers. they run around 10.00 each. i use the ones with the ground built in.

The mechanical ones have a tendency to stop working eventually. The digital ones are great.

i use the outdoor ones with the hatch. they are rated at 30 amps and 1500 wtts they also have 6 outlets.

NO!!! I bought the dual timer setup 3 months ago and it has already wore out!! I would not suggest getting one. Both timers got stuck and would not spin around. Good idea for a power strip but they should update it to a digital timer on it. I ended up getting the 15amp digital timers at Home Depot and have had great success. They are battery back up systems that keep the time when the power goes off. You can also program many different settings in them. Price was a little bit high (20 dollars each) but they are reliable and will save you money on energy when you do not 'have' to run all those pumps and lights constantly. :)
