I'm looking at getting the Tunze Turbelle Electronic Kit 7400/2 in a few weeks. I've been talking to the Tunze rep from Austin (he covers the US market) and he says this would work good for my 55 gallon setup. The controller that comes with it seems to do some nice stuff as well. Has anyone out there used this type of pump? And if so, I'd like to hear some feed back on your experiences with it along with the single controller. Thanks v.v

I do not have hands on experiene with the one you are looking at but everything Tunze makes is great. Their pumps are the best. They are built like a rock. Service is outstanding. I have 2- 6100 Turbelle Streams with the 7095 Multicontroller. A hopefully I will soon have a tunze wavebox.

I have two 7400's with the single controller. If I had to do it again, I'd probably go with the multicontroller as it ends up being near as expensive as the single with the y adapter. The pumps work great but one word of advice, keep the controller for anything TUNZE away from any water. I mean high and dry because if you splash water on one, it's done for.

Haha a 30 gallon cube and I run a Mag 9.5 as my return. However I STILL can't keep stuff off my barebottom like I'd want to.

Btw don't bother ordering one, go to Aquatek, a MAAST sponsor, and you'll find all the Tunze stuff. I assume you've been talking with Roger who is co owner of the holding company that owns the store. Save on shipping and see the stuff in action.

go to Aquatek

Definitely the best place to go for Tunze equipment! If they don't have it on the shelves, Aaron will order it for you, and any ordered items come in quickly (although they are generally very well stocked).

Tunze ROCKS! We get awesome flow from the 6060 & 6080s we have in our system, they don't heat your water up, and are great as far as low electricity usage...VERY dependable too! Anyway, judging on what solid products Tunze makes, I imagine *anything* in their line up of goods will be wonderful!

I think I'll order it from marinedepot.com. Austin is a bit of a drive for me and with sales tax ordering it online would be a cheaper route for me. It would be nice if a LFS in San Antonio would carry Tunze on the shelfs.... :innocent

Seriously I would call Aaron at Aquatek as I feel you'll be getting a better deal.

well here is the price for the setup from marinedepot.com

I really have no way of getting up to Austin either. I've looked online and the prices seem to be steady. I would just be paying for shipping and sales tax too from Aquatek... taxes suck :angry

But if he has a good hook up on prices I would be interested that's for sure :P
