Anybody tried these out yet?

Just curious. I've thought about placing one behind the rockwork once I get this thing setup. Probably just one of the smaller ones to put some flow through there.

I am going to try two of the seio 1500's in my 240g...I have heard that they work very good, but it is still early to tell.

Yep - they work great, and are designed much the same way Tunzes are (looks and flow pattern)...not "quite" as much flow, but very nice for the money. Oh - BTW, I don't think they function very well on wavemakers...we had two in our 75G - one had to be kept on all the time, as it wouldn't restart with the wavemaker - the other did just fine. (We had the M820s)

Yep. I have two Seio 820s in my 180g and plan to add two more. They are not at all like the Rio pumps we have all grown to be afraid of. These are a different design and grounded. Very low energy consumption. They produce a softer, wider 'stream' of water more like a Tunze than a Maxijet. Taam says NOT to put them on a wavemaker and recommends cleaning them frequently. I clean mine about once a month. Be sure that you have easy access to it if you do put it behind the rocks so that you can remove it for cleaning.

I have two in my 135g and had to turn one off because it was blowing the skin off my frogspawn. I love the flow output though.

I have a 1100 and 820 in my 75 and they provide all the flow I need. I've had the 1100 for about 3 months, 820 for one. I clean them once a month just to be safe and haven't had any problems with them except they occassionally form a vortex and suck air from the surface. I know if I mounted them lower that would stop but I've been too lazy to change them yet :)
