They are quite a bit brighter yellow than the pictures show.

They look like baby zoos, they grow where light doesnt really reach the colony..I have some like those ones growing underneath some rocks..

Joshua, I don't think they were light starved. They actually looked like they may have been getting too much light---but I don't really know Zoas. They were under a 250w 20kk MH bulb up there and high in the tank.

My photos are just under a dual color single 96w pc. Under the 20kk halide they were closed up more (the open ones) and looked like they were bright yellow christmast bulbs!

Who knows. Hopefully they'll look better down the road. I'm moving my 150 hqi 20kk over them next week.
