Does anyone have any experience with the Red Sea Berlin Tubo skimmer, good or bad. Waiting for my new 120 RR tank to arrive and trying to find a skimmer that works well but doesn't cost as much or more than the tank.

I used one for several years. It was a decent skimmer but I've heard the turbofloater is a little better for about the same cost. Also you can check with Pete, I believe one of his smaller skimmers runs around the same cost as a new berlin.

I PMed Pete asked him about his skimmers, but he didn't seem interested so I started looking elsewhere. Kind of figured maybe he had a deal with some of the LFS that he didn't want to screw up. Couldn't blame him. I'll check out the ?TurboFlotors and PM Pete again. thanks

Aqua C Urchin Pro Skimmer with a mag 3 pump should be perfect and Richard at CB pets sells them for the same price as the internet.

If you are talking about the XL Turbo berlin I have one but the only thing I would suggest is do not get the pump that they suggest. Replace the pump with something about 1000 gph and put a becket or venturi valve. I get about a 1/2 of dark skimmate everyday on my 100 gallon tank. I have never run a Aqua C or the other but I hear good things from people.
