Bring on the color??

I was just wondering...I have had my tank for about a year now and it is doing okay...I give it all it needs like calcium strontium and so forth. Its clean and pretty nice for an amateur, but I am still pondering. I have only seen some purple on my live rock that is in their. Does the color have to come with the rock or is their a way to help it along. thanks for putting up with the amateurs. ^_^

To better answer what you are asking, I would ask what is your calcium test at?

all your parameters would help for everyone.

When things are in check coraline algae will just bloom everywhere in the tank.

I grows very fast under lower to medium light and dose kalk.
