Im trying to estamate how much sand i have for my tank. any one know how many lbs of sand a 5 gallon bucket holds?

Under Useful Information on the left side of the screen go to Calculators then just simply put in the size of your tank.

like i said above i was wonder how many lbs a 5 gallon "Buckett" hold not a tank.

Up to the top I think its around 50 pounds.

50lbs sounds about right. Is it dry sand or is there some water with it? Obviously it will weigh a little more if you have Live sand.
