Any advice would be appreciated! I have a dual 72" VHO setup like this (http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PFO-VHORD2X56&Category_Code=PFOvhor) that I have been using with two 72" URI Actinic VHOs.

It is time to replace the VHO bulbs, and I hate the 72" bulbs. So, I ordered 8ea 18" bulbs and endcaps.

How do I go about changing the wiring harness from by ballast to run 4 18" bulbs off each ballast circuit? Parallel, serial, something wierd?

If you really know how to wire this, please be as specific as possible!

I have the same setup and they responded pretty quick when I had a question.

Just out of curiosity...what is so bad about the 72" bulbs? And doesn't that cost a lot more to replace bulbs?

If there is not a wiring diagram on the ballast, then the safe thing to do is contact the manufacture.

Just how/where I need to place them above my system. The 18's can go front to back ... it's hard to explain, but I think I will like it much better and I can get the lights closer to the water surface.

Ahhh...your smart. Hey can you post a pic when you get it setup. Getting the 72" bulbs exactly where I want has been a PITA.

i can scan the diagram i use if you want. i used it to wire 4 75 watt vho lamps

Not sure I like it yet - not the same PITA, but maybe a different PITA?
