Wow Todd, those ARE awesome!! I think $10. bucks a polyp is about the average on those particular zoas these days as they are very hard to come by. Great score!
Hey, I know what the Danaes look like that you spoke of (drool drool), but I'm not familiar with the Tyree Soli...do you have a pic of that you could post?

I guess I'm not the only one that skims some cash off the top for the "I must have that" fund. I was feeling guilty, but the feeling didn't last long. Nice purchase Todd.

Ha, I've quoted your phrase since seeing it Fidel!
REALLY BAD NEWS HERE. FedEx royally screw the pooch!
This went out last night 5:30 pacific. Then somehow got re-scanned as going out an hour later at the same **** FedEx site. The package arrived in Dallas/ FW at 12:30 a.m. this morning with a "ESTIMATED DELIVERY OF BEFORE 10:30 A.M. JULY 13TH!
I'm covered because the seller is a quality person and he insured............But F, you can't just go get replacements on Tyree soli, Superman Danae, etc. I've been bumming all freaking day.
He tried to get it sped up. You'd think they could get it from Dallas to SA in 9 freaking hours! SO, it's supposed to be here tomorrow morning by 10:30 a.m. Nothing like sitting in 78 degree cool Texas for 34 freakin hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAArrrrrrggggg!

dang...that sucks. FedEx screwed up one of my office packages last week. I sent it overnight with a 10:30 delivery but they sent it to a different city by mistake...2 different packages! So it got there by 10:30, just one day late.

Update. Have you ever had some thing Good happen but it actually turns out BAD?
Well, I got my shipment this moring at 9. I could smell some funk without opening the box.
Here's what's good that has me DOWN.
This guy threw in some UNBELIEVABLE FREEBIES! I mead super expensive $60-$80 frags....several as free! Can you believe that and then it all gets hung up in shipping!
He threw in a big frag of True blue Zoas, a know "purple Monster"--not the original, but a well know similar that is collectable. Plus some others.
I about cried when I pulled bag out that said "Freebie, take care of this one! EF purple monster".
Trying to aclimate right now. Going to do a reef dip on all items too as I don't want some nasty infection to break out in my tank.
Update later,
T

Not quite yet. Amazingly I think most are going to make it.
I've had pleanty of corals that RTN's in the bag in the past within just the overnight shipping with no errors. I can't believe these are doing so well.
Right now the Soli, zoas, and two of the stags look the worst. I moved the zoathids to my 18g with pc lighting tonight. They were in my main system in a lower flow area under a ledge a little so they wouldn't get burned. I don't know if they needed more or less light/flow as I'm not experienced with these.
This actually has turned in to a GOOD situation. I'm 100% covered if any of these don't make it through the weekend as it will be blamed on the shipping....which it might very well still be the cause if they die. Either way financially I'm covered, but some of these you just can't go buy another until it's grown.
Pics hopefully of healthy stuff coming on Saturday.

OK, Zoanthid masters out there. I need some advice.
Everyting on the shipment has pulled through so far except the Zoas and the Danae dosen't look perfect.
On the Zoanthids, I've moved them to a tank with PC lighting where I have some other Zoas, star polyps, rics etc that have been doing super well.
It's now been a little over 3 days since they came in and the free "blues" are mostly open. But, the main red skirt/blue center in the picture only have like 2 kind of open with the rest all closed up. I don't see any white stuff (I don't think) like Joshua warned to look out for.
Do Zoanthids stay closed for a few days sometimes when shipped/stressed?
Thanks,
Todd

Yes, I have had them stay closed up for a week. I'd put them so they can get a good medium water flow across them and all the way up top if your running PC on that tank.

Thanks Tim. I know I've had them burn in my sps tank before and have some doing well in the pc tank.
Do the bright shades need more light on these?

I agree with Tim... Zoas can stay closed for some time after shipping I have had several not yet open since I brought them back from victoria 2 weeks ago. Their tissue looks healthy, just not open.

Pretty cool.
