Anyone know where in San Antonio I can get some retaining bands for the Coralife PC lamps? I just changed out my 96watt Quad bulb and the bands broke apart.

I usualy replace them with regular O rings from the hardware store. They actually last longer than the stock ones.

Yeah..Jim is right, they do last longer. The problem with the coralife bands is that they snap really easy when they get hot..

So what kind of o-rings are these at the hardware store?

Are the retaining bands all that necessary? The metal clips seem to hold that quad bulb in place pretty well as is.

Nope, not at all, just bend the ends together a little if necessary.

I had completely removed the rings from mine when I had my coralife PC light. Never seemed to bother it to me since like you said the clips are fairly tight.
