Euroreef by far. Good price, you can't do better IMO

for a 75g, a 5-1 would do just fine. They retail for around $275. I just set one up at a tank at my store and its awesome.

If you are looking for a small Euroreef skimmer, check out the for sale section on Reef Central. They come up for sale there very often and you can usually find some good deals on slightly used ones.

I'm going to disagree with "way overpriced". You get a great quality acrylic with the Euroreef and I'm currently using a 3 year old one with no problems whatsoever.

I need to go with Joshua on this one. A turboflotor 5000 is $600 dollars and will handle a 700 gallon tank with no problems. A EuroReef that can handle that much water will be over $1,800 . I could buy THREE turboflotors with that amount of money.

Used?? that skimmer looked brand new!
It's a nice skimmer and it is in very good condition. I find it truly amazing that we can't get $120 for it here, especially after seeing the following Ebay auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=46313&item=4374328 097&rd=1
Eventually I will get around to putting it on Ebay.

I personally am completely out of the beckett camp. I guarantee that on my 30 gallon tank, you could not build a better skimmer than the Euroreef I have on it now. As all things in this hobby ultimately are, you pay for QUALITY. Search on RC for a bit, why all the posts about Euroreef's. because they WORK.

Euro Reef is nothing without the needle wheel pump ... so arent you saying you have a great pump and an expensive tube? ;)

And I thought Steve (NaCl) was in charge of stirring up arguments/debates!?! :wacko
As with anything in this hobby, everyone has their favorites and "theories" about what works best. Just don't buy into anyone person's hype and search around to find the best solution for you.

Im not saying the Euro Reef is a bad skimmer because it is not! However the "action" is from the pump and the tube is there to so the water air mix has a place to go and this is no different than any other skimmer because they all work on the same principles. ;)
Stir it up!! :)

Yeah, nothing too fancy with the Euroreef design and as you say, it's mostly the needlewheel/pump that does the work. But it's a quality, easy-to-use design that works really well. That's why there are so many knock-offs. I'm still waiting for the Pete version to come out! lol
