Anyone tried this or know anything about it. It appears to do the basic job that my aquacontroller does but w/o the hassle of X10 control modules.

i might take a bite on it since i can get it for a good price. I like how it has web access so I can check my tank while i'm at school. Which is gonna be ideal since i'm take 17 hours and going 8-8 4 days out of the week.

It actually looke like a pretty decent unit.

But this cracked me up:

"Everything's Included- Just add your own PH and ORP Probes. "

That's a new intepretation of "Everything's included" to me.

the hassle of X10 control modules.

Steveo,
Do you have an AquaController? I have one and I about to install it. What kind of X10 hassles have you had? Anyway to avoid or mitigate the problems?
Thanks,
John

My problem is with interference. I have installed noise filters which make it work better but every once in a while I will be looking at the tank and a light will turn off when it is not supposed to. And them a minute later it will turn back on. It is not the program, it is the noise. If you do not have a noise problem then it works great.

I hope I don't have the same problems with my Aquacontroller Pro, I haven't installed it yet, just hacked the AquaNotes software so that I could get direct access to the aquacontroller via the web, but other then that haven't installed it. I may sell it since it's got more features then what I need and go with an AquaController II.

I am using an octopus 3000 from Aquadyne with X10'x for lights, chiller, heater etc. Works very well except when there is a lot of thunder/lightning. Then I get all kinds of strange stuff happening. Must be all the crap coming down the power lines. Do you guys think that installing a filer might help?

Thanks
