I have bought 2 anenomes in the past month or 2 and both have seemed to last me about a day or so. the first one i put in and it was good till i went out of town and then BAM in the power head. when i found it the anenome was dead. this time i bought a cool RBT then last night i set it where i wanted it and it seemed to be fine till last night after we went to bed i just had that feeling. and YEP when i woke up and it was in the POWERHEAD AGAIN. :sick So heres where i am going to ask for help. HOW THE HECK YOU KEEP THEM OUT OF THE POWER HEAD?????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????? :angry

Ther are going to move arond until they find a place where they like the flow & lighting. If you have brisk flow, or low lighting, they may move around constantly. For some reason they REALY like to be inside a power head >_<

The only safe bet is to put a sponge filter over the inlet of the powerhead, but then you need to clean it on a regular basis.

Did you put these in your 135, or one of the smaller ones? What's your lighting?

I had the same problem with a small merick Tang my wife bought me. He got sucked up in the power head after only one day in the tank. :( She was quite upset and told me to get rid of the powerhead. I will go today and find a foam filter for the powerhead.

... my gf said yesterday that we need a bigger tank.

Young grasshopper reefer ... the hook is set, don't go buy a PH filter, go buy a 350g reef ready system :)
