I have been trying to decide what kind of lights to get. I have been looking at the Corallife Aqua pro 2 system. 48" 2x150 MH, 2x96 actinic 3 moonlights. This system is about $700. My goal is to be able to have a couple of giant clams in my 55 gal. Are there any good quality systems like this but cheaper (odeyssa)? Is this going to be enough light for the clams to do well?

I have one other question. I have a sieo 820 in my tank and was going to add another. Would this be to much flow for my 55?

Check with 360Reef here. He's a distributor on lights and has been getting folks on here some good deals on lighting systems.

Your lighting requirements are going to depend on what type of clams you are planning on adding. Crocea and Maxima have a lot higher light requirement then squamosa and derasa. Plan your critters, then plan your system.
