I plumbed my skimmer straight into where i had my mag 18, works awesome now. Note the water level half way up the neck of the skimmer.
Again awesome skimmers Pete, will update the skimmate cup as soon as it starts to produce.

Looks good.
Just curious for my own info, but it looks like the outlet is below the water level in the sump. Is this correct?
Just needed to know for future setup, I though it needed to be above the level but apparently that may not be true.
Thanks and congrats on a great skimmer.

Cliff, The problem with having it below the water level is that if you don't have a good auto top off mechanism that will keep it at that level most of the time, then your skimmer will fluctuate greatly because there will be either reduced or increased backpressure. I recommend you keep it out of the water level for your setup.

Great, thanks for the info.
The reason I asked was I had a Berling before and as long as the tubes where the return was were draining were above the water line I was fine. If I put them below (to keep salt creep to a minimum from splasing) the pressure difference caused the water in the skimmer to run up into the neck.
Different skimmer with different effects though, so great info to know. Very nice looking setup.
Thanks,
Cliff
