Just wanted to give a big thumbs up to the place. As far as I'm concerned they have always had the best baby backs in town. Still just as good everytime I go.

One complaint. Where's the huge coral reef at. :lol

OK, at Donnies defense I ate at the one off of Stone Oak, not his store.

I still have yet to eat there. I had a friend in college in Kansas city that said when I moved here that if I ever go to San Antonio, that was THE place to go ribs...

Next time I go down im going to stop by(I got gift cards at the last meeting so its even harder to say no now...)

You went to the wrong one, go to Donnie's place off of I-10 and Vance Jackson.
The food is great, I never ate beef or pork then I went to Toms' Ribs and became a meat eater! :w00t

In a perfect world all of the locations would be the same...mistakes happen at my store also. In the restaurant business one that is bound to happen is mistakes in food and/or service. What separates the good ones from the not so good ones is how mistakes are responded to.

I like both...at Tom's we have a special marinade for the babybacks and finish them of on the grill

for our spare ribs we use dry rub and smok'em.. ;)

umm, define "special marinade" lol, I have a few tricks up my sleeve also! One of them is to peel the silverskin from the bone side, makes for a much more tender rack!

We have a two stage process with the baby backs...the first is to a quick "dip" marinade with a special product and cook them in a convection until they are 90% done...the actuall cooking and coating with sauce is the final step... ;)

we order our baby backs with that skin already peeled... ;) ;)

I think the special product is the same as McDonald's secret sauce. Or could it be something that comes from papyas?

Having spent 20 yrs as a meat cutter. (now a science teacher) You always pull the skin off the back of the ribs both beef and pork. Other wise they will be tuff. We traveled last summer and had some of Corky's baby backs mmmmmm they were tasty. But Tom's Rib does a noce job. Rudys always does em real nice[/img]

No problem. I collect anything that is unique. 8) One of my students in my 8th grade scince class bought me a Darth Tater Mr. Potato head for my collection. Added it to the dancing hamsters, rubber rats, etc. So I thought why not use Darth Tater as login. Beside love Star Wars. :D

It was actually very funny. We had won a $10 certificate as a door prize from the last meeting and went to use it. As I had given our waitress my card to pay I realized I didn't give them the certificate.

Told the wife, well I guess we'll just have to come back and use it later. ;)
