Hey Guys--
I have a question for ya'll. (By the way I'm Reef69's girlfriend for everyone that may not know) As you know I am taking care of his tanks. I had called Sean(cpreefguy) and asked him how to feed the anemone. he gave me good instructions, but the only problem I am seeing is that once I am able to get the anenome to attach to the silverside, the little cleaner shrimp goes and steals it away. I spent atleast 30 min trying to get it to grab on to it and then that happens...:(

Any suggestions?? Thanks. :)

Give the shrimp something to eat in the other side of the tank, then feed the anemone. Just shove the silverside down into the tentacles and it will take it from you.

Ok- well thanks for the advice. I will see what I can do for it tomorrow. Appreciate it! :)

You might also be able to put like a colinder over it right after you give it the silverside. And just take it off when its got a good enough hold on it so the shrimp wont take it.

Give the shrimp something to eat in the other side of the tank,

LOL...that's what I have to do when I'm feeding my sun coral. The cleaner shrimp will literally dig into the coral's mouth to get the mysis out if I don't. Sometimes, I even have to shoo them away with the turkey baster while the coral eats (gentle jets of water with the baster will keep them at bay long enough for the anemone to eat).

Ok, Well I am going to try putting something on top of the anemone while it eats. Hopefully this will work. Thanks for the suggestions! :)

Yes it was. It worked very well. But after I took it off, the cleaner shrimp still ran over there to see if there were any leftovers. Crazy guys..... :wacko
