Mine gets about 3/4 of an inch thick. The family loves it when I clean that out. I clean mine every 2 weeks.

Man, and I thought my skimmer had something wrong with it. Glad to see I am not the only one having to clean this junk out of mine. I thought about taking pictures, but it was just too disgusting to look at.

i tried to take a few pics of mine but the stink got to me! I got light headed and forgot what I was doing ;) of course thats not odd for me, maybe it wasnt the fumes after all :wacko

Mine pulled crud like that out for about 30-45 days after I setup my system - then it calmed down. Now I empty about 1-2 cups of "coffee" out of mine about twice a week.

Maybe I need to adjust my skimmers. The stuff you guys pulled out looks solid and formed, mine was all runny and frothy. I guess as long as you don't get backed up its ok though right?

I tried the "vodka in tank" thing and my horses, got all drunk, had a party, broke the fence, and the stallion kick the tail out of the tangs, made a pretzel of the dragon face pipe fishes, had Escargo for dinner, rearange the tank, and pass out for 2 days naked on the floor of the tank :lol :lol :lol :lol
