Does anybody know where I can get plumbing parts locally.

What I'm looking for is the under sink adapter for my inlet. The cr@ppy needle valve that came with mine doesn't seem to work very well. I just want to cap that off and put in the other style that works much better IMO.

Believe it or not I have found a decent selection of this type of stuff at Home Depot and Lowes. RO related plumbing stuff seems like it would be really specialty but the same size line (1/4") is used for many other applications (icemakers, etc) so the big stores have sections with a good amount of stuff.

For what you are looking for, I'd try HD or Lowes. The same kind of needle valves are sometimes used for ice maker lines so they carry that kind of stuff.

What do you have for inlet water?
I had to do some plumbing work on sink area. I used PVC and Tee'd off from the main, used a ball valve, then adapted down. The ball valve is for when I need to replace cartridges.

Josh,
That's the way my other ro unit is setup. This one is under the sink tor drinking.
I've looked at HD and lowes and will have to go again tomorrow. Not wanting a needle valve, those suck.

Well, it took me a little while to get it rigged up right but I was able to work something out after about $22 in parts.

Real pain in the *****, but I finally got it hooked up right.

BTW, just for info purposes.

If you get an RO unit and it has one of those nice saddle valves, the self piercing types and that valve ever starts to leak.
YOU'RE SCREWED.

Just wanted to get my 2 cents in against those worthless pieces of CR@P again just in case anyone is getting reado to buy a unit. Go the extra couple of $$ and get the regular style T off valve. :angry

If you can't find the parts you need I bet you Alex can get them for you. I got my RO unit and all the stuff I needed for it from him ^_^

I finally got it up and going again this morning with the good parts after a second Lowes adventure when they opened up. Unfortunately my water had to be off all night though due to the leak.

No, I'm not a plumber. I just stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. <_<
